Why I Keep Coming Back to Hyatt Zilara Cap Cana

There are some places you visit once and enjoy — and then there are places you return to again and again because they truly leave an imprint on your heart. For me, that place is Hyatt Zilara Cap Cana in the Dominican Republic. I’ve stayed here twice now — once in December 2019, just a few months after it opened, and again in February 2025 — and each trip reminded me why this resort is such a gem.

First Impressions That Last

When I first arrived in 2019, I remember walking into the open-air lobby and feeling the warm ocean breeze hit my face. The architecture is modern but inviting, with natural wood accents and panoramic views of the turquoise water. Returning in 2025, I felt that same thrill of anticipation — like coming home to a place that knows exactly how to welcome you.

Rooms That Feel Like Retreats

Both times, I stayed in an ocean-view suite, and honestly, it’s hard to beat waking up to the sight of Juanillo Beach. The rooms are spacious, stylish, and thoughtfully designed — from the rainfall showers to the private balconies where I’d sip my morning coffee. Everything feels fresh, serene, and quietly luxurious.

Food That Surprised Me (In the Best Way)

I’ll admit, I can be a little picky about all-inclusive dining. But Hyatt Zilara Cap Cana raised the bar for me. In 2019, I fell in love with the beachfront grill and the Indian restaurant; in 2025, I was excited to see even more variety and the same high standards. Breakfast buffets became my daily ritual — fresh tropical fruit, pastries, and made-to-order omelets with an ocean view. And room service late at night? Always a win.

Double the Fun With Hyatt Ziva Cap Cana

One of the best parts of staying at Hyatt Zilara Cap Cana is that you also get access to many of the facilities at its sister property next door, Hyatt Ziva Cap Cana. It’s a family-friendly resort with its own restaurants, pools, waterpark, and entertainment, and as a guest of Zilara, you can enjoy most of it.

During my stays, I loved walking over to Ziva to try different restaurants (the seafood spot there was a favorite!) and experience its lively atmosphere. While Zilara offers a serene adults-only vibe, Ziva adds even more variety and energy — perfect if you want to mix it up or if you’re traveling with friends or family staying at Ziva. Having two resorts at your fingertips means twice the pools, twice the dining options, and endless ways to spend your day.

The Perfect Mix of Relaxation and Activity

I like a balance of both, and this resort nails it. Mornings might be yoga or paddleboarding, afternoons by the infinity pool, and evenings enjoying a cocktail while watching live music. One of my favorite memories was spending a lazy afternoon in a poolside lounger — the staff bringing drinks and snacks without me ever having to leave my chair.

People Who Make You Feel Special

More than anything, it’s the staff who make Hyatt Zilara Cap Cana shine. From remembering my name at breakfast to going out of their way to make sure I had everything I needed, their warmth and attention to detail transformed a beautiful vacation into an unforgettable experience.

Why I Recommend It

After two stays, I can say without hesitation: if you’re looking for an adults-only, all-inclusive escape that blends luxury, relaxation, and genuine hospitality, Hyatt Zilara Cap Cana is it. Whether it’s a romantic getaway, a celebration, or just a much-needed break, this resort is the perfect backdrop.

If you’re thinking about your next vacation and want expert help planning it, I’d love to share my firsthand experience and tips with you. Let’s make your dream trip to Hyatt Zilara Cap Cana a reality!
